"Floating" Met Mast with TLP -FloatMast-
The offshore wind industry is growing and as wind farms become larger, they are moving from the coast to deeper waters, such as EEZs. FloatMasts are becoming increasingly important as the best solution to mitigate project risks.
FloatMast combines TLP (Tension Leg Platform) and met masts with meteorological and other wind instruments, including LiDAR, to provide the highest accuracy wind resource assessment and best P90.
<Structure>
- The submerged structure fixed to seabed via 4 tension legs. [TLP=Tension leg platform]
- The platform is at a height of 10m above average sea level.
- The self-supporting 30m lattice Met Mast is founded on the platform center.
- The top of the mast is approx. 45m above ave. sea level.
- IEC 61400-12-1:2022 compliant
- Adjustable according to customer needs
<Placements on the platform>
- Power Supply: Small wind turbines, PV panels and fuel cell for auxiliary.
- A number of cabinets: Power supply equipment, Switches and protections, Radar interfaces, Ethernet controlled power supply, Dual redundant DAQ (Data Acquisition) and control PC, and Communication systems
- 1 vertical LiDAR (ZX 300M)
- Security instruments: Radar and Cameras
